The second trials of the project took place during the 16th International Interdisciplinary Field Workshop on Maritime Robotics and Applications Breaking the Surface (BtS) which lasted from the 29th September to the 6th October 2024 in Biograd na Moru, Croatia. Breaking the Surface is a workshop attended yearly by around 200 people and includes a mixture of lectures, hands-on tutorials and demonstrations. MASK participated by performing trials, attending part of the program, delivering specific talks on AI just for the MASK consortium and with a demo on the official program. Indeed, as part of the main program, MASK high school students could teach robotics professionals from universities and companies how to drive ROVs and how to pick-up garbage from the ocean.

This was yet another excellent opportunity to disseminate the project to a wide audience and to engage students with STEM professionals and empower them as teachers which made the learning and training experience more complete.
